A rapid increasing of the image resolution and the amount of data handled by a processor engine cause issues in not only high-class digital cameras but also mobile terminals .
Image data are generally compressed to reduce the amount of data, but there is a need for technology that suppresses the deterioration of image quality and processes at high speed.
TMC has developed the high-resolution lossless / near lossless compression technology which have been used for many years for sensor images of digital cameras, and has commercialized a very compact and high-speed compression IP.
